Yeah, I actually only decided to
apply because I was visiting my childhood best friend who had
been working on the show for about six months way back in season
two. She suggested I "try out..." I assumed you needed art
college or at least even an art CLASS in your life to at least
make it happen. but four animation tests and countless drives
down to Los Angeles from San Jose later, they finally hired me
two months after I submitted my first artwork for them with
no former training in
either animation or drawing. I had to learn as I go. So I
would be good for that one, haha, and I would talk about it for
as many times as you wish.

Cartwright does Bart’s voice.
James L Brooks, Taxi, Voices in cartoons are
done BEFORE the cartoons are drawn…..
6 months from script to
screen per 22 minute episode….
No longer uses animation cells now on computer, digitaly
colored.
(I have funny stories of getting to sit in the "cheap seats" at
the Emmys, too, as "not really an insider."
I have lots of PHOTOGRAPHS of me, like
headshots of portraits...but not really a sketch. and I do have
one picture of me as I am featured in an episode that I directed
as a Simpson character. In the simpsons pic, I am the one with
the long hair next to Serena Williams in the front of the
bleachers, for the episode I directed in 2000 called "Tennis the
Menace."
Talking about getting awarded my first show to direct "Kill the
Alligator and Run" (which aired on April 30, 2000) would be good
as well. Also demystifying the daily process would be fun as
well not much of an outline, but let me know if you need more...
